After twelve years with major US international development companies, Dr. James K. Weeks and Umesh Tiwari founded Development Monitors in 2017. They have extensive experience designing and implementing multi-sector programs in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kosovo, Nepal, South Sudan, Sudan, and Yemen. Their projects, funded by the World Bank and USAID, have a cumulative contract value of over US$260 million. This experience has equipped them with deep insights into international development and the challenges faced by host governments and communities. Development Monitors aims to provide donors and host governments with citizen and community-based approaches to sustainable development. Their methods emphasize the use of low and no-cost technologies, including smartphones, open-source applications, satellite imagery, sensors, and UAVs. By leveraging these technologies, Development Monitors seeks to create practical and innovative solutions for sustainable development. Our story and mission
DCSPL was established in 2022 in Delhi to bring senior monitoring, evaluation and programme-management expertise to governments and development partners. Our mission is to convert complex field evidence into decisions that improve infrastructure quality, climate resilience and community outcomes.
